CLOTH DIAPERS
What are the advantages of cloth diapers over disposable diapers?
Cloth diapers are more environmentally friendly, cost-effective in the long run, and can be gentler on your baby's skin. They also produce less waste and are reusable.
What exactly is a cloth diaper consultation?
In a cloth diaper consultation or workshop, I will show you the different types of cloth diapers, explain how to use and care for them, and help you find the best system for your needs.
Who is a cloth diaper consultation suitable for?
The consultation is suitable for expecting parents, new parents, or even parents of older babies who want to switch to cloth diapers.
How long does a cloth diaper consultation last?
An initial consultation typically lasts 2 hours, depending on how many questions you have and how in-depth you'd like to go. A small-group cloth diaper workshop lasts around 3 hours. The duration of troubleshooting sessions is very individual and depends on your needs and questions.
When can I start using cloth diapers?
You can start using cloth diapers from birth or at a later stage. Together, we'll find the cloth diaper system and type that best fits your lifestyle.
Can I try different types of cloth diapers?
For the consultation, I bring various models and materials so you can get a feel for the diapers and try them out on a demo doll or your baby. For testing in everyday life, I offer rental and trial packages.
POSTPARTUM DOULA
What is a postpartum doula, and how can it help me?
Postpartum care provides support during pregnancy, the postpartum period, and the early days with your baby. You receive practical and emotional assistance where you need it most in your daily life, allowing you to rest and focus entirely on your baby and your new role as a mother.
What services does a postpartum doula offer?
A postpartum doula is an expert in providing support during the postpartum period, pregnancy, and the early days with your baby.
How much does a postpartum doula cost?
The cost depends on the duration and scope of the care provided. Each postpartum doula tailors their offerings individually and sets their own hourly rate. Under certain conditions, public health insurance may cover part or all of the costs for a postpartum doula.
Will my health insurance cover the costs for a postpartum doula?
If the following conditions are met: - a doctor certifies the necessity of care - there is at least one child under 12 years old living in your household - you are covered by public health insurance - no other household member is available to take over the household duties (i.e., your partner has not applied for parental leave or vacation during this time) you can apply for Haushaltshilfe through your health insurance, which may cover part or all of the costs.
What is the difference between a midwife and a postpartum doua?
Postpartum care complements the services provided by a midwife but does not replace them. While the midwife primarily focuses on the medical care and assessment of mother and baby during the postpartum period, my role as a postpartum doula is to provide practical support in daily life. I step in where the midwife's responsibilities end due to time or logistical constraints, offering valuable assistance to help you recover and manage the new challenges of early motherhood.
